WAGYU' refers to all Japanese beef cattle, 'Wa' means Japanese and 'gyu' means cow. Wagyu were originally draft animals used in agriculture, and were selected for their physical endurance.
We are a small family operated ranch located on 150 acres in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. Because our ranch is a low volume high quality operation we are able to give attention to detail that you just can't find in large cattle ranches. Our cattle are raised in a healthy, low stress environment. We are proud to be BQA certified. Beef Quality Assurance certifies ranchers that follow their program.
Detailed record keeping utilizing CattleMax, allows for the best possible health, critical medical tracking, logging of average daily gain and other important information that assures the cattle input dollars are being maximized.
Years of genetic research has been used to gain maximum hybrid vigor when creating percentage Wagyu cattle.
These outstanding mixtures of bloodlines such as Mayura L0010, Suzutani, Michifuku, Arubial Bond, M6 Itogenami, Rueshaw, Brady, Haruki 2, Takamichi Doi, World's K Shigeshigetani, Peppermill Grove are used for the production of beef cattle and also used in the cow calf operation.
A strict regiment of health checks and regular veterinarian visits on our ranch assures healthy cattle.
There are no growth hormones used on our ranch and there are no antibiotics or vaccines in any meat program cattle
Maintaining a good parasitic control program that includes utilizing natural products, assure our cattle have the maximum average daily gain for our input dollars.
A means of configuring civilization and human activity so that society, its members and its economies are able to meet their needs and express their greatest potential in the present, while preserving biodiversity and natural ecosystems, planning and acting for the ability to maintain these ideals for future generations.
Ranchers and farmers have been doing this their entire life so they can pass the farms to future generations. They have had to make sure they had sustainability in order to keep a farm in the family.

Swirling Elements Soapworks, a Georgia soap maker, is converting our tallow and lard into high quality soap products !!

Own cattle without owning the ranch!
This is an opportunity to put a deposit a steer calf when it's born, own the steer while it is being raised on our farm for 18 to 24 months, then pick up vacuum packed fresh Wagyu at the processor or have it shipped to your door. You never have to pay retail for substandard quality beef again!
After the deposit is made a payment plan is arranged so a low monthly payment can be made over the duration of the contract. There are no additional fees other than the monthly payment.
Lock in the cost per pound that you pay at the time you sign the contract there will be no increase in cost during the contract. This program has limited availability.

Wagyu cattle are docile animals that produce the best flavor and tenderness naturally than any other cattle breed.
Originally they had a smaller frame and look more like a dairy cow with a thin back end, so a lot of ranchers avoided them for many years. Wagyu cattle also feed out slower so there are more input costs.
Over the years genetics has been utilized to add weight, marbling, milking abilities and other desirable traits.
The cattle disperse fat intramuscularly better than most cattle that deposit the additional fat in the tail head or brisket.
This intramuscular fat dispersion or marbling, is the secret to the great taste.
Artificial insemination better known as AI, provides one of the best chances at advancing your herds genetics for the lowest possible cost.
There are a few factors that affect the cost. The cost of the semen straw, which range from $50 for good/great quality semen, $300 for excellent quality semen. The prices go up to thousands of dollars per straw for elite pedigree . Shipping is additional.
The cost for an AI certified technician which ranges from $50 each to $300 each. If there is heat synchronization, then there are additional costs.
Weaned Replacement Heifer calves cost $3,000 up to $12,000 depending on pedigree.
